SORRY! Todd ******************************
Since 1992 I had been fishing Cabo religiously! On my 1st trip to Cabo I caught a 300# blue
marlin (and RELEASED IT!) and won a return trip. 2 months later caught a bunch of dorado &
tuna and more billfish. This is when I
realized all the other fantastic fishing in Cabo as well as the excitement and
beauty the area has to offer. 23 fishing
trips later, to Cabo San Lucas, Got Caught Fishing Charters was created in
2003! My goal was to bring to Cabo ONLY
the quality service and type of fishing that could please me so I knew it would
accomplish the same for any other interested person or group(s), professionals
to novices! This company is about
meeting the expectations & standards that people from the United States/Canada
expect, which many agree is practically impossible to find here, hence
providing you with boats and equipment which are second to none, locally raised
crews that speak great English and know that this is YOUR fishing adventure and
will help you to experience the fishing trip of a life-time! We want to do it your way using their
knowledge and experience!
Those of you that have traveled south of the border know how
the local culture lives and operates. We
want to see you return to Cabo for more fishing and all the rest of the local
experiences so in addition to our fishing services I promise to send you in the
right direction(s) for the rest of your needs.
No one pays me to send you places but rather I share my experiences, finer
spots and enjoyments I have found or heard of personally (not so good ones are
also advised). Though we are your quality choice
in fishing, in Cabo, you will also appreciate our honesty and caring attitudes
that help make your trip the best!
11 years as a tourist/fisherman here and now having lived here full time
running this business since early 2003 I will share the Best Cabo has to offer
while helping to eliminate some of the worse.
Fishing/charter
services... Boats… We personally own 3 of the finest Cabo fishing boats. The
famous 31’ Bertram “Got Caught”, the extremely comfortable & wide Luhrs 320
Express “Caught Again” and then our last added boat an Albemarle 325
Convertible which is fast & competes with the more expensive Cabo brand
boats run by a good competitor. Our
boats are 31’, 32’ & 32’ feet respectably.
Our boats are all twin diesel engine powered which are superior for
maneuverability when fighting your fish as well as dependability because you
will NEVER be without at least 1 engine!
2 of the most important reasons to fish ONLY twin engine boats! As a result we obviously have higher expenses
and maintenance than our single engine counter-parts which you need to
remember. We may be a little more than
some boats & companies however the boats, crews, equipment, safety, etc…
are far worth it!
Crews… We have experienced local, Mexican crews that run our
boats. They speak very good English and
they use their many years of Cabo fishing to help make certain your fishing trip
and experience is 2nd to no other!
They know that your satisfaction and return to us are related to your
fishing experience but as importantly that your referrals and hence the
continual growth of our company and future charters will likely be determined
by the same measure. The crews also
depend on your gratuities so you can also expect that they will work hard for
your satisfaction in hopes of nice tips!
I try to make certain that the people that work for me know that you are
here to have a successful fishing trip as well as being catered to! As I have said previously, “it’s your trip so
we want you to participate as much or as little as YOU want!” Simply let them know what you want to do and
ask any and all questions so you know everything you want. Communication helps make your trip a success!
Equipment &
tackle… On all 3 of our boats we run mainly Penn & Shimano 2
speed convention reels with matching rods.
They consist of reels which Penn GLD 20s & 30s for live bait
casting, International 30s, 50s, 70s and 80’s for trolling as well as Shimano
30s and 50s which can be used for both types fishing. Line consists of ‘spectra’ 65-130# under top
shots of 30-100# monofilaments depending on conditions and fishing. You will find spinning rods available on the
boats, as well, for some lighter weight equipment and sport fishing those dorado
& similar fish.
All the boats are equipped with multiple VHF radios, GPSs,
sounders, radar, and other necessary electronic equipment, stereos with Sirius
satellite radio and needless to say full inspected safety flotation devices,
flares, fire extinguishing devices both hand-held and built-in, and medical
first-aide kits. We will always go over
the safety features of the boats every trip!
You can count on that! Your
safety is also a top priority with my company and crew(s)!
Cabins, tuna towers, collapsible bimini tops, and the crew’s
helm areas help provide plenty of shade, too.
Oh YES, JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE! “We take
you where the BIG FISH ARE!” as is stated by many of our competition! It’s a
big ocean and there are lots of BIG fish out there but the reality of catching
them is what we are hopefully going to achieve for you on your charter. We will discuss what you want to fish for the
morning at the boat prior to departure with the crews and we will help you to
decide on how many live bait to buy, which direction best suites your request,
the weather/water conditions, your group’s sea worthiness, etc… Most everything will be gone over at the dock
and then hopefully you will continue your discussion(s)/conversation(s) with
the crew(s) members on your boat. I can
not stress enough that good communication and involvement at your level will
help make your trip a success!
